KEPERO GUIDE

Use Kepero on the web, in your browser and on your phone

Use the web for your full library and creative work. The browser extension and mobile capture apps help you keep a good find in the moment, in the same account.

Start with the web library

Create an account or log in to Kepero in your browser. Save links, organize collections, search your material, work on posts and export your results. The web library also works in a mobile browser.

You can start on the web without installing an extension or a native app. Saving and organizing links does not require an AI request.

Browser extension: manual installation

The Chrome extension saves a page into your account and lets you choose a collection. It is currently distributed as an unpacked extension, not through the Chrome Web Store. There is no public download package on this site yet; setup requires the pilot extension files.

Once you have those files, load the extension in Chrome's extension settings. In the Kepero web app, open Settings → Browser extension and create a pairing code. In the extension, use https://kepero.com as the App URL, enter the code and connect. The code is single-use and expires after five minutes.

An update to the website does not update an installed extension. Reload the updated extension in the same browser profile. Do not uninstall it to update: uninstalling discards its local save queue.

iPhone: capture pilot

The iPhone app and Share Extension send links from other apps to your Kepero account. The current native app focuses on capture, not every feature of the web library. It is a manually installed pilot, with no public App Store or TestFlight link available here yet.

If you already have the pilot installed, sign in to the web library, open Settings → Mobile apps and create a mobile code. Connect the app to https://kepero.com with that code, then use Share → Kepero from another app.

Android: APK pilot

The Android capture app accepts links through Share → Kepero. It is installed from a pilot APK rather than Google Play. There is no public APK download on this site yet, and broader physical-device verification is still in progress.

If you have received the APK, install or update it without removing the existing app. Sign in to Kepero on the web, open Settings → Mobile apps, create a mobile code and connect the Android app to https://kepero.com. Web login and app pairing are separate.

Know when a capture has arrived

A capture can be queued on your device while you are offline. Saved on this device is different from Saved in Kepero. Retry after reconnecting, then check your web library. Queue delivery does not guarantee that the source's video was downloaded.

Keep pending captures when updating. Do not uninstall, clear app data or change accounts to repair a queue. Pending saves belong to their original server and account; reconnecting elsewhere does not move them automatically.
